Capital One: Venture family, 48 months
The Venture cards share a 48-month rule that only lets you move up: no Venture X bonus within 48 months of a Venture X bonus, no Venture bonus within 48 months of a Venture or Venture X bonus, and no VentureOne bonus within 48 months of any of the three.
In the issuer's terms The issuer states this, in a card's terms or an official statement.
What counts, and what doesn't
Applies to: Capital One VentureOne, Venture and Venture X (personal)
“Venture: Customers are not eligible for the Venture bonus if they have earned the Venture X bonus or the Venture bonus within the last 48 months.”
From the card's terms
- The 48 months start when the bonus posts, not when you open or close the card.
- Moving up is allowed: a VentureOne or Venture bonus doesn't block the Venture X.
Recently changed. Capital One linked the three Venture cards in October 2025. Before that, each card's 48 months stood alone.
