All IHG Premier credit needs a one-time enrollment before any spending counts, and Chase will not apply them retroactively.
Credits, and when they reset
Every six months
- $25 $25 United TravelBank credit resets twice a year, in January and JulyNeeds enrollment
Every year
- $100 $100 statement credit resets on your account anniversary, not January 1 unlocks after $20,000 of spend, so it is not counted below
Every few years
- $120 $120 Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit available again every 4 years
What counts, and what doesn't
- One credit needs a one-time enrollment. Spend before you enroll and nothing posts, because Chase will not apply it retroactively.
- At least one credit resets on your account anniversary rather than January 1. Most people assume the calendar year.
- Some credits only unlock after a spend threshold. Those are listed above but left out of the total, because you do not get them by default.
- Credits do not roll over. Whatever is unused when the period ends is gone.
Is it worth the fee?
$50
Up to $50 a year in credits against a $99 fee. On paper the credits do not cover it. Whether it's worth it depends on which ones you'd actually use.
